to 4th through 12th grade students who are first-place
winners of their schools' science fairs.
Please
Note: Individual schools must conduct their own science
fairs. Advice is available from Science Center staff
regarding school science fairs. Chairman Solomon
Kilburn gives students a winning
edge.
Eligible
Counties: Breathitt, Elliott, Floyd, Johnson, Knott,
Lawrence, Lee, Leslie, Letcher, Magoffin, Martin, Menifee,
Morgan, Owsley, Perry, Pike and Wolfe.
Homeschools:
Homeschool students may compete, but must be first-place
winners in homeschool competitions held by a group of
homeschools.
Type
of projects eligible: Research-based that utilizes the
Scientific Method. Demonstration and model projects are not allowed.
